Payroll Department



The payroll department is responsible for processing and payment of weekly wages, fortnightly Salaries and Pensions, Monthly Salaries for Councillors and Quarterly Firefighter wages.

In addition, the Payroll Section deals with deductions, Agresso interfacing, recoupments, applying tax details, implementation of national pay increases and general pay enquiries.

There are approximately 1493 employees on Limerick County Councils Payroll, spread across the following paygroups:

  • Wages: 390
  • Salaries: 469
  • Pensions: 543
  • Firefighters: 63
  • Councillors: 28
