Special Rate of Maintenance Grant For the award of a special rate of maintenance grant in respect of the 2012/2013 academic year, the reckonable income (for the period 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011, the tax year 2011) shall not exceed €22,703 net of standard exclusions(as set out in Part 3 21.(4) of this scheme). This reckonable income must include one of the Social Welfare Payments listed in Schedule 2 of the Higher Education Grant Scheme for 2012
