Limerick Studies Department is located at Lissanalta House, Dooradoyle Road, Limerick.   The Department acts as a reference and research centre for the local population and for requests from abroad.   The collection held deals with all aspects of Limerick history, heritage and culture.   A comprehensive collection of books, journals, newspapers and audio-visual material has been built up over the years and details can be viewed on the catalogue at http://www.lcc.ie/Library   Online facilities include the 1901 and 1911 Census, The Irish Times Online Archive, The Ordnance Survey Historical Maps and Griffith’s Valuation Maps.
