Exchange of Foreign Licence



Please see the list of countries from which foreign licences can be exchanged.

In order to exchange your licence you are required to produce the following.
  1. Foreign Licence: Valid full licence from Country of Exchange. If lost, you must obtain a letter of authorisation detailing your licence from the original issuing office.

  2. Exchange Form:Completed with details of Foreign Licence.

  3. Medical Report:If you have higher categories on your licence, eg: C1, C, D1, C, EC1, EC, ED1, ED/equivalent, and wish to retain those categories you must submit a medical report. If you do not require higher categories, please complete the Higher Classes Declaration Form.

  4. 2 identical Passport Photographs: The reverse of both photographs must be signed by you.

  5. Fee:- 10 Year Licence - € 25
    3 ear Licence - € 15
    No fee for applicants over 70 years of age

  6. PPSN (Formerly called your RSI number).
