Making an Appeal


An Bord Pleanála  <http://www.pleanala.ie/> was established in 1977 under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 and is responsible for the determination of appeals and certain other matters under the Planning and Development Acts, 2000 to 2006, and with appeals under the Building Control Act, 1990, the Local Government (Water Pollution) Acts, 1977 and 1990 and the Air Pollution Act, 1987. Under continuity arrangements under the 2000 Planning Act, the Board continues to deal with appeals and other cases under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Acts 1963 to 1999 where such cases were initiated under those Acts.
