Applications that are not completed in accordance with the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2007 must be returned as invalid.

To obtain planning permission you must make a planning application to Limerick County Council. The application must be made in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government (Planning & Development) Regulations, 2001 to 2007. The following is a list of documentation required to make a valid planning application.

There are now 2 application forms. A standardised form introduced under the new regulations and also a supplementary form. The supplementary form mainly deals with information required in order to access housing need.
