This map should be of sufficient size to contain details of features in the vicinity and to permit the identification of the site to which the application relates.
The map should be to a scale of not less than: 1;1000 (in built up areas), 1:2,500 (in all other areas),
The maps must also indicate the relevant Ordnance Survey sheet number.
The maps should be marked or coloured so as to identify clearly the land or structure to which the application relates in red. Any wayleaves should be marked in yellow.
Please note that Ordnance Survey Ireland maps are protected under Copyright Law, Limerick County Council cannot accept photocopied Ordnance Survey Ireland maps as part of a Planning Application as this is an infringement of Copyright law.
We can only accept:
· Original OSI maps (as denoted by the red stamp)
· Photocopied maps bearing an OSI licence number
· Photocopied maps bearing an OSI hologram sticker
· Digital Maps (copy of invoice must be submitted)
Where agents have acquired an Ordnance Survey Ireland licence number, this number must be stated on each map and the licence number must end with the lat two digits of the current year (i.e. 09)
Mapping required for the submission of a planning application can now be obtained both online at www.osi.ie via a local OSi mapping agents. A list of all current agents can be found on the Ordnance Survey Ireland corporate Website.
