Grant of Permission with or without conditions

A ‘Notification of Grant of Permission’ can be made with or without conditions e.g. conditions may refer to the payment of a contribution fee or issues regarding drainage. It is important to note that the ‘Notification of Grant of Permission’ does not authorise the applicant to begin the development. After a period of four weeks and three days and then ‘as soon as may be’ the Planning Authority issues the ‘Final Grant’ of Permission. The ‘Final Grant’ is issued if no appeal has been made to An Bord Pleanala (The Planning Appeals Board).
