For the purposes of Section 20(3) of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2011 notice is herby given that Limerick County Council has prepared a Proposed Rathkeale Local Area Plan 2012-2018 and for the purposes of Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2011 have prepared a Environmental Screening Report of the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the local area plan and in accordance with article 6(3) of the Habitats Directive have prepared an Appropriate Assessment Screening.
The Proposed Plan, the Environmental Screening Report and the Appropriate Assessment Screening will be on public display from Saturday 14th April 2012 to Monday 28th May 2012 inclusive.
A copy of the Proposed Local Area Plan, the Environmental Screening Report and the Appropriate Assessment Screening may be inspected at County Hall, Dooradoyle, County Limerick each day (exclusive of public holidays) from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. A copy of the Proposed Plan, the Environmental Screening Report and the Appropriate Assessment Screening may also be inspected at the Rathkeale Area Office, and the Public Libraries in Rathkeale, Dooradoyle, the Granary, Michael Street, Limerick during normal opening hours. The Proposed Plan, the Environmental Screening Report and the Appropriate Assessment Screening will also be available on Limerick County Council’s web site at www.lcc.ie/Planning/Local_Area_Plans/Proposed+Local+Area+Plans/
Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled to make submissions or observations.
As part of this process a public information evening will be held in Rathkeale Community Centre on Tuesday 24th April 2012 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The Proposed Plan, the Environmental Screening Report and the Appropriate Assessment Screening may be purchased for the price of €25.00 in the Council Offices in Dooradoyle. The Proposed Plan, the Environmental Screening Report and the Appropriate Assessment Screening is also available on CD at a cost of €5.
Any objections or representations with respect to the Proposed Local Area Plan for Rathkeale made in writing, to the Forward Planning Section, Planning and Development Dept, Limerick County Council, County Hall, Dooradoyle, Co. Limerick or emailed to planning@limerickcoco.ie and received before 3.30pm on Monday 28th May 2012 will be taken into consideration before the Local Area Plan is made.
