Notice is hereby given that Limerick County Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, extending the period of time for which the temporary speed limits at the locations listed below will operate. These temporary speed limits will continue to operate until 31st December, 2010 while construction works are in progress as part of the M7 Nenagh to Limerick High Quality Dual Carriageway Scheme.
New Road at Carrowkeel
Reduced speed limit from 100 km/h to 60 km/h for a distance of 170m from a point 94m north of the Knockbrack Road Junction to a point 76m south of the same junction.
Reduced speed limit from 80 km/h to 50 km/h for a distance of 1630m from a point 76m south of the Knockbrack Road Junction to the Newport Junction Interchange.
M7
Reduced speed limit from 120 km/h to 50 km/h for a distance of 900m from the Newport Junction Interchange towards Rossbrien.
Reduced speed limit from 120 km/h to 60 km/h for a distance of 195m on the southbound carriageway from a point 900m south of the Newport Junction Interchange to a point 1095m towards Rossbrien.
Reduced speed limit from 120 km/h to 60 km/h for a distance of 180m from a point on the northbound carriageway 1570m south of Newport Junction Interchange to a point 1390m along the M7.
Reduced speed limit from 120 km/h to 50 km/h for a distance of 1390m on the northbound carriageway from a point 1390m on the M7 south of the Newport Junction Interchange to the Newport Junction Interchange.
L1106 to Castleconnell
Reduced speed limit from 80 km/h to 50 km/h for a distance of 625m from a point on the L1106 325m south of the Mountshannon Junction.
Link Road from L1106 to New Road
Reduced speed limit from 80km/h to 50 km/h. for a distance of 125m on the Link Road from the L1106 to the new road.
R445 to Limerick
Reduced speed limit from 80 km/h to 60 km/h for a distance of 572m from a point on the R445 430m south west of the Newport Junction Interchange to a point 1002m south west of the said junction.
Reduced speed limit from 80 km/h to 50 km/h for a distance of 780m from a point on the R445 430m south west of the Newport Junction Interchange to a point 235m north east on the R503.
R503 to Newport
Reduced speed limit from 80km/h to 60 km/h for a distance of 785m from a point on the R503 235m north east of the Newport Junction Interchange to a point 1020m north east of the said junction.
The County Manager shall have regard to any representations that are made to him in relation to the Road Works Speed Limit Order.
