In accordance with the Electoral Polling Scheme Regulations 2005, the recommendations contained in the Constituency Commission Report on Dail and European Constituencies 2007 and the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2009, Limerick County Council has on 20th September 2010 at a full meeting of the Council adopted the Polling Scheme (Dail Constituencies) 2010. The new Dail constituencies will come into effect on or after the next dissolution of the Dail.
