The following electors may apply for a postal vote:

Electors living at home who have a physical illness or disability which prevents them from going to a polling station to vote (form PV1)

Electors whose work circumstances are such as to make it likely that they will be unable to go to a polling station to vote (form PV2)

Students attending an educational institution in the State on a full-time basis who are living away from their address of registration and are likely to be unable to attend their designated polling station to vote (form PV2)
