These objectives are achieved through engineering methods and education.

To achieve this aim the Council works in co-operation with the Road Safety Authority to assist in the implementation of the various Road Safety campaigns and is involved with the Gardai, Limerick City Council and schools, amongst others, to advance road safety education at a local level.
