Adare/ Patrickswell Trunkmain
|
The Adare to Patrickswell Trunkmain forms part of the future strategic link between the City Water Supply Scheme at Newcastle Reservoirs and the Shannon Estuary Scheme.
The Rosbrien – Patrickswell watermain was constructed as part of the N20/N21 Road project during 2000/2001. The current phase involves extending this 800mm diameter watermain from Patrickswell to Mount Earl, Adare. This project was included in the Water Services Investment Programme 2007-20099 with an estimated cost of €3.245 million.
Ward & Burke Construction Ltd were appointed as contractors and this project went into construction during 2008 with RPS Consulting Engineers providing Consultancy Services. This phase was substantially completed during 2009.
A Water Pricing Policy and Design report for the final section into Adare was submitted to the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government in January 2008.
