Prior Inspection and Provisional Approval

Limerick County Council will carry out an inspection prior to works being carried out to determine that the applicant is eligible, the proposed works qualify and all other terms and conditions of the scheme are complied with. At this stage Limerick County Council will determine the approved cost of the works and the amount of the grant.

Once this has been carried out, the applicant will be issued with a Certificate of Provisional Approval allowing the works to be carried out.

The approved cost, the amount on the basis of which the grant is calculated, is determined by the local authority. It is an estimate of the reasonable cost of qualifying works.
