Conference Summary

Our communities are living in very uncertain social and economic times at present. The Fire Service throughout the world has always lived up to its reputation of responding to local communities in their time of need and the current difficult challenges faced by all of society represent an opportunity for the Fire Service to reflect on what services we provide and how efficiently we deliver them.

This year's conference will host expert speakers within the Emergency Services Sector and the Fire Technology/Industry from Ireland , Sweden , UK , Belgium , Denmark and Switzerland who with their experience, knowledge and wisdom in different aspects of the Fire Service will attempt to provide innovative thoughts and ideas about how the Fire and Rescue Service is adapting to meet these challenges.

The Conference keynote speaker is Goran Schnell of the Swedish Fire Service who has considerable experience both in emergency services and international co-operation. Goran will be exploring the future challenges for tomorrow’s Fire Service.

The Chief Fire Officers' Association Annual Conference and Fire Industry / Technology Exhibition is one of the most prestigious conferences in Ireland and is a major showcase event for the Fire and Emergency Services Sector in Ireland.
